Carol, a former librarian, worked as a reviewer and editor at Bitten by Books for seven years, where she also wrote a column on genre television. Aside from reading and reviewing extensively in the Urban Fantasy genre, Carol spends as much free time as possible with her three amazing grandsons. Anna is a lifelong lover of all things SF and fantasy. Her love for the genre started with her first fandom, Buffy. She is earning a master’s degree in film and television and hopes to help create content in the genre she loves so much.
Erika has avidly read urban fantasy since childhood. A lifelong love, her relationship with the genre has matured into also writing it. When not working on her PhD and lecturing in psychology, she can often be found at her laptop creating worlds with strong female protagonists, chaotic politics between magical beings, and as many dragons as reasonable. It’s uncertain whether her dissertation or novel will be done first, but she’s hoping for the latter; a dragon may eat her dissertation. Erika’s weaknesses are Hello Kitty, cute animals, and tasty food.
Jennifer is a lifelong book-a-holic and recent convention addict. A former bookseller, she now runs a book club and a book reviews/promotion website. She created and directs the annual Coastal Magic UF/PNR/Romance Convention. Outside of the book world, Jennifer loves spending time with her family and friends, both in person and online. Budget-travel and keeping a scrapbook record of those adventures has been a hobby for years, and her collection of Hard Rock Cafe keychains from around the U.S. continues to grow. Her time at Dragon Con is generally spent on the UF, YA Lit, Art, and Alternate History tracks.
Karen started reading when she was seven-years-old, thanks to her aunt, who is a retired middle school teacher. Her journey into the literary world started off in horror then moved to the Classics and now anything she can get her hands on from Science Fiction to World History to Urban Fantasy. She is an aspiring writer from Macon, GA. She has one book out that she’s self-published. She is never without her big bag stuffed with a book to read, a journal to write in, pencils and pens, and her favorite tarot deck.

Lea is an avid reader. She owns more books than bookcase space allows, and is constantly looking for new books to read or snuggling up with an old favorite. In her spare time she is an aspiring writer and works as a Donations Coordinator for a local animal rescue in Macon, Ga. Lea has been a volunteer at Dragon Con for the past 8 years in VIP Guest Registration, but her main reason for coming to the Con every year is to meet the various authors and listen to their life stories, gain their insight and advice, and make lifelong friends.
Melinda is a veterinary assistant and non-profit professional who loves the dash of delight that geekdom brings to her life. Volunteering with various departments at DragonCon since 2009 (with the occasional break for travelling the world), Melinda is ecstatic to spend more time with Urban Fantasy, diving into the rich and exciting worlds that our authors, film makers and producers have created.
